Bolo Skjold showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 10th minute of the match. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bolo Skjold made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 13th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petter Skarkman got free with Rolando Noboa in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolando Noboa was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Petter Skarkman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Petter Skarkman really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Arman Lingren made in the 26th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Bolo Skjold showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Milagros Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bolo Skjold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakob Lundin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Petter Skarkman came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Petter Skarkman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bolo Skjold read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Bolo Skjold came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Milagros Fraga. But to his dismay, Milagros Fraga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Jonny Ånger made in the 87th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Petter Skarkman however managed to control. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Jonny Ånger made a throw-in in the 89th minute of the game. Rafael Gallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bolo Skjold read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
