Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Koby Wright to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Carter George put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jan Wessel. Despite this Jan Wessel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in Canada's zone, Iustin Hațegan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jax Williamson came out of the goal and Iustin Hațegan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luka Harris struck a weak shot in the 88th minute.
