The audience was convinced that Luz Tejedor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arsenio Cordeal was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 25th minute of play forced Plebeyos's goalkeeper Arsenio Cordeal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arsenio Cordeal. The Plebeyos fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Plebeyos's Aaden Hutton looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Emmanuel Reyes made in the 39th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Milagros Fraga immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 40th minute of play forced Plebeyos's goalkeeper Arsenio Cordeal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aaden Hutton was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Eliseo Mina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arsenio Cordeal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Plebeyos's Arsenio Cordeal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Plebeyos from getting a goal against them. 57 minutes into the game, Aaden Hutton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 60th minute of play forced Plebeyos's goalkeeper Arsenio Cordeal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arsenio Cordeal, 2-3. 71 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Aaden Hutton came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Carlos Monzón threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 73 minutes, Julian Murillo made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. Plebeyos's Arsenio Cordeal tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Arsenio Cordeal in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arsenio Cordeal was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Julian Murillo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Julian Murillo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Plebeyos made a substitution. Vicente Gutxi replaced Carlos Monzón. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Rafael Gallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arsenio Cordeal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Arsenio Cordeal was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Rafael Gallo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rafael Gallo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-6.
