Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Axel Tasis got the match started through his kick off. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Delarue in the 4th minute of the match. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Alain Terim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Alain Terim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yves Auvinet took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Vincent Delarue put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Efrain Moruga during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Green Madness booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Green Madness's Vincent Delarue got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute Alain Terim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincent Delarue, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The audience was convinced that Vincent Delarue's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Delarue in the 43rd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vincent Delarue to make the kick off. A collision led to Green Madness getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Yves Auvinet hit a great ball. When Green Madness's Vincent Delarue in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. If Vincent Delarue had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Vincent Delarue ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yves Auvinet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Alain Terim sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded Green Madness left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Costa Rica.
