Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off which started today's match. SCs StarS's Luka Ramos was substituted for Edgar Reitsema. After a defensive mix-up in Chile's zone, Thiago Gol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal and Thiago Gol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Petr Čech didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Petr Čech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Thiago Gol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thiago Gol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Jose Manzanedo hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the game, Thiago Gol recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Thiago Pliego. Thiago Gol showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. In the 31st minute of the match Chile got a corner. SCs StarS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Lacasa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Petr Čech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. When Orlando Casaus came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlando Casaus couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.
In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 53 minutes in the game, Mariano Lacasa dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Petr Čech made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Guillermo Fontirroig sent off a good shot on target. A well-hit corner resulted in Pedro Indiano heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 62nd minute, Wlodzimierz Kochanowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SCs StarS's Jordy Dirks quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mariano Lacasa, made in the 64th minute of the game. 65 minutes into the match, SCs StarS's Thiago Gol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 67th minute SCs StarS were awarded a corner. Wlodzimierz Kochanowski went to the cornerflag to take it. With his leg Petr Čech managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Chile's Mariano Lacasa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mariano Lacasa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Petr Čech skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Petr Čech had great luck who in the 71stth minute grab hold of the ball when Mariano Lacasa from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. With a little luck, SCs StarS's Petr Čech got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 75th minute, Thiago Gol left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SCs StarS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. 78 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Thiago Gol came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Petr Čech in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. SCs StarS's Petr Čech proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save SCs StarS from getting a goal against them. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Petr Čech made a huge save. Jose Manzanedo made in the 86th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Orlando Casaus immediately put the ball in play. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind SCs StarS's goalkeeper Petr Čech, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Petr Čech made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. Chile's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because SCs StarS had won, even though Chile had held more of the ball.
