Fårdala FF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 19th play minutes Luis Andino shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Gunnar Håning and just under the crossbar into goal. Oskar Bredberg hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. The supporters of Fårdala FF booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ola Asserlind came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Fårdala FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ola Asserlind couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fårdala FF throughout the match.
