Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Todd Griffiths in the 8th minute of the match. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Todd Griffiths, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute of the match Heavenly Hooters got a corner. Costa Rica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marty King ran over to the corner to take the kick. Todd Griffiths kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Phil Naylor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heavenly Hooters's supporters rose to their feet, but Phil Naylor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Phil Naylor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Todd Griffiths in the 29th minute of play. After 31st play minutes Phil Naylor shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Todd Griffiths put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 47th minute, Todd Griffiths ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. Todd Griffiths sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marty King, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Todd Griffiths had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 64 minutes, Todd Griffiths made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Todd Griffiths, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Todd Griffiths succeeded in the game's 71st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-5. 76 minutes into the game, Brandon Wright cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 79 minutes into the game, Todd Griffiths lined in a short shot 0-7 behind a frustrated Benito Sanz. Heavenly Hooters's Shane Beesley was substituted for Ross Clark. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pedro Luiz de Moraes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 87 minute of play. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Heavenly Hooters's Todd Griffiths. But to his dismay, Todd Griffiths quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Todd Griffiths, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Todd Griffithss short, quick shot in the 98thth minute got Benito Sanz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match was over Heavenly Hooters could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Costa Rica throughout the match.
