Bruno Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 11 minutes, Lochlan Newman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Curacao and the Fortuna Galaxy players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Curacao's Lochlan Newman got a free kick in the 11th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Marc Danielsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fortuna Galaxy's supporters rose to their feet, but Marc Danielsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Barrett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Georg Nyström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyle Davies in the 15th minute of the match. Alexander Malmberg charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Malmberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jordan Porter kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 31st minute of the match, Marko Hermansson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bruno Barrett saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 34th minute, Stanley Wallace hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Barrett came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Fortuna Galaxy's Marc Danielsson. But to his dismay, Marc Danielsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Allan Västlund kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bruno Barrett. That made the score 2-0 in the 48 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kyle Davies to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Fortuna Galaxy's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Davies came free, but Georg Nyström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Georg Nyström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stanley Wallace, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. With a little luck, Fortuna Galaxy's Georg Nyström got control of the ball when Troy Kennedy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Allan Västlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fortuna Galaxy were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Curacao for a fine match.
