With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Glasgow Rangers FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Peru's Emmanuel Reyes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dave Clemente in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Natalucci, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After a rather tough play, Glasgow Rangers FC's Antonio Riccitelli got a free kick in the 25th minute. Julian Murillo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dave Clemente having to make a save. Dave Clemente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Armando Natalucci made a kick off. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ettore Placidi in the 60th minute of the match. Ettore Placidi scored 2-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Glasgow Rangers FC made a substitution. Carlo Attili replaced Armando Natalucci. In the 76th minute, Nahuel Molina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Milagros Fraga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Dave Clemente made a huge save. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Julian Murillo put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Dave Clemente. After 87 minutes of play, Glasgow Rangers FC's Ettore Placidi made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 96th minute, Carlo Attili left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Glasgow Rangers FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Glasgow Rangers FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Peru had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
