But to his dismay, Jo Hönisch quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 24th minute, Reinhard Adolph hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kjetil von Bülow in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Club V290's Kjetil von Bülow got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Klement Rozanski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 36th minute of the match. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Club V290 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enak Donkels didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 54th minute, Uwe Voß hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Klement Rozanski managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 76 minutes, Kjetil von Bülow managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club V290's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kjetil von Bülow was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute 韩卫崇 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
