In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thiago Gol struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Thiago Pliego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SCs StarS. The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. SCs StarS's Petr Čech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Casaus in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th match minute, SCs StarS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jordy Dirks to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute, Matthijs Ebbinge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mariano Lacasa came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Lacasa couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Thiago Gol tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64th minute Orlando Casaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petr Čech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florian Hekman, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago Gol in the 66th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
