Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. Vladimír Madeja's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladimír Madeja helped the player get up and apologised. After 3 played minutes FC Melon got a freekick which was hit by Vladimír Madeja. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute, Marek Janič ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Marek Janič came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the FC Melon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marek Janič couldn't finish the play. 14 minutes into the game, Peter Holub cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, FC Melon's Ján Tuleja got control of the ball when Aaron Alcocer tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 19 minutes of play, FC Melon's Peter Holub made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Marek Janič in the 21st minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Marek Janič got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute, Peter Holub got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vladimír Madeja struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Melon. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marek Janič, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Marek Janič's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. 35 minutes into the match, Marek Janič had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marek Janič was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Matej Adamec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Jaromír Mojžiš notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 47 minutes into the match, Peter Holub had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Peter Holub was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. The Costa Rica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Melon were winning 0-6.

The wind increased when Marek Janič made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of FC Melon booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Tasis didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 54 in the game by Marek Janič from a close distance when the talented Benito Sanz managed to make a qualified save. Costa Rica's players were relieved. In the 56th minute, Marek Janič ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. After 59th play minutes Marek Janič shot 0-8, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 61st minute, FC Melon's Peter Holub dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-9. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Marek Janič capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marek Janič really showed his touch with that goal: 0-10. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Marek Janič kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. In the 72nd match minute, FC Melon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Žitňár to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Melon's Peter Holub. But to his dismay, Peter Holub quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-12. After having played for 87 minutes, Marek Janič managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Melon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marek Janič was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Marek Janič kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 0-14 in the 90 minute of play. In the 96th minute, Peter Holub ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-15. FC Melon's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
