Miroslaw Gejda hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 21 minutes in the game Jose Carita did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Isidoro Sarmiento. Legia Warszawa 【L】's Juliusz Bury played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juliusz Bury saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juliusz Bury was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomas Berganza showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 25 minute of play. Juliusz Bury came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Tomas Berganza. But to his dismay, Tomas Berganza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Juliusz Bury made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 32nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Isidoro Sarmiento took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Juliusz Bury to make any attempt to save it. Abraham Alguacil hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Jose Carita's late challenge caught a Legia Warszawa 【L】's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Carita helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Legia Warszawa 【L】 booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Carita didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Berganza was the one to do the kick off. The Legia Warszawa 【L】 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juliusz Bury should have stopped the shot. Panama's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
