Axel Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nacho Gonzalez having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in El Gallo de Moron's zone, Axel Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nacho Gonzalez came out of the goal and Axel Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nacho Gonzalez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Abram Sarmiento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Nacho Gonzalez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 25 minutes of play, El Gallo de Moron's Teofilo Garrote made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the El Gallo de Moron defense, Abram Sarmiento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nacho Gonzalez. The El Gallo de Moron fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nacho Gonzalez should have stopped the shot. Nacho Gonzalez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Luisinho Laguna notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Luisinho Laguna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. With a little luck, El Gallo de Moron's Nacho Gonzalez got control of the ball when Santino Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Gallo de Moron's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Axel Montenegro was slow to take the kick. During this time Colombia's players had a chance to rest. Axel Montenegro made a great header on Colombia's corner, it was just that El Gallo de Moron's Nacho Gonzalez managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience was convinced that Abram Secada's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nacho Gonzalez was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. El Gallo de Moron's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
