In the 21st match minute, BRASIL.Sp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bart Croisé to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Eusébio Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 38th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serginho Lusa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serginho Lusa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fagondo Vasquez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of BRASIL.Sp's goalie and right to Lautaro Mancebo. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. BRASIL.Sp's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Serginho Lusa in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th minute Almir Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Almir Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. BRASIL.Sp made a substitution. Marcel Sanches replaced Eusébio Barros. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Corrêa hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute of the match Mexico got a corner. BRASIL.Sp's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Luca Rouco almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but BRASIL.Sp's Serginho Lusa did a great save. Marcel Sanches took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 94th match minute, BRASIL.Sp was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilson Perez to maneuver through the defense.
