MUSHIBA FC's Chiquinho do Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 17th minute of play. Chiquinho do Nascimento was a little too slow when Hector Covarrubias got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in MUSHIBA FC's zone, Hector Covarrubias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chiquinho do Nascimento came out of the goal and Hector Covarrubias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute, Jaime Pardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paraguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Chiquinho do Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Jaime Pardo sent off a good shot on target. Chiquinho do Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Hector Covarrubias sent off a good shot on target. Chiquinho do Nascimento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Pardo in the 37th minute. The wind increased when Raí Nogueira made the kick off in the second half. MUSHIBA FC's attentive Severino Marquez managed to snatch the ball when Jose Sanz made a throw-in in the 51st minute of the game. In the 52nd minute Primitivo Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chiquinho do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Hector Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Hector Covarrubias made a precise shot to the right of Chiquinho do Nascimento. MUSHIBA FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. In the 63rd minute, Cacá Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, MUSHIBA FC's Didi Meira got a free kick in the 67th minute. Chiquinho do Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Covarrubias in the 69th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 69th minute of play forced MUSHIBA FC's goalkeeper Chiquinho do Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chiquinho do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 71st minute of play. Chiquinho do Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Jose Sanz in the 75th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by MUSHIBA FC's Severino Marquez. When Régis Sampaio fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MUSHIBA FC's protests and gave Régis Sampaio a yellow card for diving instead. Régis Sampaio kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 83rd match minute, MUSHIBA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Ramos to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 85th minute of play forced MUSHIBA FC's goalkeeper Chiquinho do Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, MUSHIBA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Covarrubias came free, but Chiquinho do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chiquinho do Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Pardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Paraguay's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
