Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Julian Murillo got the match started through his kick off. Palestra do Interior's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hudson Sergipano in the 5th minute. The corner ended in Hudson Sergipano almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Peru's Rolando Noboa did a great save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Allan Varela saved Palestra do Interior from getting behind. Emmanuel Reyes made in the 15th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Milagros Fraga. Palestra do Interior were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hudson Sergipano took the corner. The corner ended in Hudson Sergipano almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Peru's Rolando Noboa did a great save. Emmanuel Reyes made in the 37th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Milagros Fraga. Milagros Fraga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Allan Varela read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Anthony Alvarado hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Allan Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Paulo Godoi made the kick off in the second half. Eliseo Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luz Tejedor made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luz Tejedor in the 74th minute of play forced Palestra do Interior's goalkeeper Allan Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vitório Lago's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but Allan Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palestra do Interior's goalie prevented a goal. Allan Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 88th minute of play. Peru made a substitution. Emmanuel Reyes made in the 91st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Milagros Fraga however managed to control. Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Alcocer in the 93rd minute of play. Palestra do Interior succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Peru had controlled the match.
