Matvey Izvolskiy kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the game, Borussia Dortmund's Jonas Armendariz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Demonde Jacobson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Finlay Stair hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. With his leg Norberto Scales managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Jamaica's Finlay Stair fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matvey Izvolskiy in the 27th minute of play. After some careless play in the Jamaica defense, Jonas Armendariz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Demonde Jacobson. The Jamaica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Demonde Jacobson should have stopped the shot. After 33 minutes, Reynaldo Spivey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Borussia Dortmund and the Jamaica players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Reynaldo Spivey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Romon Oliver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Finlay Stair in the 37th minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Norberto Scales to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matvey Izvolskiy in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Demonde Jacobson saved Jamaica from getting behind. The supporters of Borussia Dortmund booed when Jamaica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romon Oliver didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Jonas Armendariz made a precise shot to the right of Demonde Jacobson. Jamaica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Jamaica from getting a goal against them. If Pawel Witwicki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 54 played minutes Jamaica got a freekick which was hit by Jarell Hill. In the 57th match minute, Borussia Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vaughn Cortes to maneuver through the defense. If Romon Oliver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Karlus Waugh ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Norberto Scales was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. 66 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's Jonas Armendariz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Demonde Jacobson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Romon Oliver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Borussia Dortmund's Jonas Armendariz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Demonde Jacobson. That made the score 1-5 after 69 minutes of play. Demonde Jacobson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonas Armendariz in the 75th minute. After a rather tough play, Jamaica's Geroy Ascue got a free kick in the 77th minute. It was beautiful to see Borussia Dortmund's Shannon Slater in action when he in the 79th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 80th minute Matvey Izvolskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demonde Jacobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matvey Izvolskiy got free with Demonde Jacobson in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Norberto Scales came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Jamaica's Finlay Stair. But to his dismay, Finlay Stair quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. Jonas Armendarizs short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Demonde Jacobson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Pawel Witwicki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Borussia Dortmund's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
