Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 11 minutes into the match, Paulo Godoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Godoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Paulo Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute Paulo Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 24 minutes, Allan Varela successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 26 minutes into the match, Palestra do Interior's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Mastache came free, but Allan Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 30 played minutes Palestra do Interior got a freekick which was hit by Herbert Pankowski. Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 35th minute of play. A throw-in in the 46th minute of the game was made by Jorginho Ferreira with Jorginho Ferreira as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The Colombia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Palestra do Interior were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulo Godoi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Santino Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. A collision led to Palestra do Interior getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Jorginho Ferreira hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Palestra do Interior defense, Abram Sarmiento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Allan Varela. The Palestra do Interior fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Allan Varela should have stopped the shot. Samuel Navarro made in the 60th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Santino Seco. After 62nd play minutes Axel Montenegro shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Allan Varela and just under the crossbar into goal. Palestra do Interior's Niclas Danielsson was substituted for Hudson Sergipano. 70 minutes into the game, Abram Sarmiento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Allan Varela was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pedro Manzanares was a little too slow when Vitório Lago got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 3-3. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. In the 80th minute, Palestra do Interior's Vitório Lago ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-4. After having played for 83 minutes, Percival Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palestra do Interior's supporters crossed their fingers, but Percival Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vitório Lago's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. After 91 played minutes Palestra do Interior got a freekick which was hit by Boyisana Mnisi. Vitório Lago could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. Palestra do Interior played a much better game than Colombia and deserved their victory. The Colombia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
