Spectators: 52 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 12, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tivadar Demeter started the match with the kick off. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tivadar Demeter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the match, Michel Goiano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 1-0. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Szombathely Squirrels's Tivadar Demeter fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 17th minute of play. Tarmo Elken was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 19 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the game, one of Szombathely Squirrels:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 20 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Arnold Szuper was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 23 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Tivadar Demeter came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnold Szuper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 played minutes, Szombathely Squirrels's Bai Jun Chong shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Szombathely Squirrels reached it. Tivadar Demeter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tivadar Demeter's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute Szombathely Squirrels were awarded a corner. Bai Jun Chong went to the cornerflag to take it. Bai Jun Chong's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Arnold Szuper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tivadar Demeter received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Tivadar Demeter slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 47th minute. Szombathely Squirrels's József Varga was substituted for Arif Ozan Nefer. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tivadar Demeter in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Tivadar Demeter's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tivadar Demeter in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 57 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bai Jun Chong who took care of the corner kick. In the 59thth minute of the game Bai Jun Chong who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arnold Szuper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Szombathely Squirrels made a substitution. Tamás Szentesi replaced Bai Jun Chong. After 69 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. In the 72nd minute, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arnold Szuper. Arnold Szuper yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. In the 78th match minute, Szombathely Squirrels was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lei Jian Xiong to maneuver through the defense. Arnold Szuper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 80th minute of the match. Arnold Szuper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 81st minute. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Szombathely Squirrels's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arnold Szuper in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Tamás Szentesi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
