The corner ended in Luz Tejedor almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela did a great save. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palestra do Interior's goalkeeper Allan Varela, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Allan Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 13th minute of the match. Allan Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After a rather tough play, Palestra do Interior's Jorginho Ferreira got a free kick in the 21st minute. The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
