Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miltos Kastanis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tilemachos Balodimos was the one to do the kick off. When Agustín Saelices came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Saelices couldn't finish the play. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Felix Montenegro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Miltos Kastanis quite easily take care of the ball. A very nice done corner allowed Cristian Sancho to score against Miltos Kastanis in Argonautes Irakliou's goal. 1-5 after 78 minutes. Miltos Kastanis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 86 played minutes Argonautes Irakliou got a freekick which was hit by Markos Santamouris. Nikos Papafotakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute.
