Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Olejarz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Leonardo Penha managed to get in a good position for a shot. ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonardo Penha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Nores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonardo Penha to make the kick off. In the 68th minute Leonardo Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Paraguay from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Paraguay's zone, Davide Di Tommaso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal and Davide Di Tommaso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Covarrubias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonardo Penha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Jacobo Nores made a huge save. Jacobo Nores was a little too slow when Daniel Olejarz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 0-6. In the 92nd minute, Jaime Pardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hector Covarrubias hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. ꉓꍏꋪꉣꂦꀸꋪꂦꂵꂦ's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
