The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. A throw-in in the 14th minute of the game was made by Kevin Mastache with Luis Cazalla as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Axel Montenegro scored 1-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alejandro Verdu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alejandro Verdu. F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Axel Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bubu Denat's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Bubu Denat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. In the 23rd minute of the match F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA got a corner. Colombia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gonzalo Boye ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's corner Ludovít Reis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pedro Manzanares quite easily take care of the ball. After 31 played minutes F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA got a freekick which was hit by Gică Popescu. In the 36th minute, one of Colombia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Colombia. In the 37th minute, F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA got a penalty, and Bubu Denat placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Boye in the 41st minute of play. Alejandro Verdu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 47th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abram Sarmiento made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Bubu Denat came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute, Bubu Denat left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Boye in the 62nd minute of play. Gonzalo Boye scored 5-2 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's Antoni Villarroel was substituted for Gonzalo Boye. 72 minutes into the game, F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's Antoni Villarroel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abram Secada couldn't finish the play. A collision led to F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Gică Popescu hit a great ball. The supporters of F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santino Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA made a substitution. Lluis Rivas replaced Marino Ramos. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's Bubu Denat. But to his dismay, Bubu Denat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-2. If Bubu Denat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alejandro Verdu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Secada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pascual Carballar got free with Alejandro Verdu in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antoni Villarroel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bubu Denat scored 8-2 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alejandro Verdu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ignacio Mastache went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-3 was the resulting score. There was no doubt that F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA were the better team. F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
