After a defensive mix-up in Team Rocco's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sven-Edvin Mårtensson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Nordlund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. 44 minutes into the match, Vincent Olofsson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vincent Olofsson made a kick off. Team Rocco's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Sven-Edvin Mårtensson, making the score, 2-3. In the 56th minute Vincent Olofsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Edvin Mårtensson having to interfere. Team Rocco's Joel Lundström was substituted for Vilhelm Moberg. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Team Rocco's Sven-Edvin Mårtensson got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after Team Rocco's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. In the 69th minute, Felix Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Team Rocco's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. 80 minutes into the match, Alfred Samuelsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfred Samuelsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 83rd minute of play forced Team Rocco's goalkeeper Sven-Edvin Mårtensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 88th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfred Samuelsson during the 90th minute.
