The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Tuna Karal made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Tuna Karal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Milagros Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samir Afacan having to interfere. Samir Afacan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 19th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Beşiktaş çArşı's Tarık Taşgan got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 30th minute, Tuna Karal made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Samir Afacan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquin Prats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tuna Karal in the 48th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tuna Karal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tarık Taşgan hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tuna Karal in the 64th minute of play. In the 73rd minute of the match Peru got a corner. Beşiktaş çArşı's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aggelos Farmakas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. With a little luck, Beşiktaş çArşı's Samir Afacan got control of the ball when Luz Tejedor tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Aggelos Farmakas came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Beşiktaş çArşı fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aggelos Farmakas couldn't finish the play. Rafael Gallo struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Samir Afacan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. Peru's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Beşiktaş çArşı had won, even though Peru had held more of the ball.
