After 21 played minutes Hisingstads BK got a freekick which was hit by Bulut Bulutelli. Tor Holm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Hisingstads BK defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tor Holm. The Hisingstads BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tor Holm should have stopped the shot. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Tor Holm made a huge save. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anders Kruse's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Hisingstads BK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tor Holm was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 47th minute Anders Kruse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
