An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Hök in the 16th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 20 played minutes FC Acatar got a freekick which was hit by Fred Tutorskiy. After having played for 21 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute Herbert Hök shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Alberto Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Mexico booed when FC Acatar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lv Yu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Diamantino Lobo made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. Diamantino Lobo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Lautaro Mancebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diamantino Lobo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Herbert Hök kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. If Facundo Cadaval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fred Tutorskiy hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the match, FC Acatar's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Diamantino Lobo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrei Alexandrescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrei Alexandrescu got free with Dante Lacasa in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 81 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Diamantino Lobo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrei Alexandrescu in the 84th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after FC Acatar's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Andrei Alexandrescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Acatar's Emanuel Doinaș got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Mexico had won after a very even match.
