In the 10th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Cirelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th match minute, Kroton F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johannes Støle to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alvaro Cirelli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 22 minutes of play, Kroton F.C.'s Veli Vefa made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! A hard shot 26 in the game by Cristiano Chitarroni from a close distance when the talented Julio Vera managed to make a qualified save. Ecuador's players were relieved. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Alvaro Cirelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Saul Sanduru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 played minutes Kroton F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Veli Vefa. Cristiano Chitarroni's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cristiano Chitarroni's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post. Alvaro Cirelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 41st minute of play forced Kroton F.C.'s goalkeeper Alvaro Cirelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Concetto Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Concetto Donato made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alvaro Cirelli made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. When Cristiano Chitarroni came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Kroton F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Chitarroni couldn't finish the play. Alvaro Cirelli made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Johannes Støle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Alvaro Cirelli made a huge save. A collision led to Kroton F.C. getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Concetto Donato hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Cristian Sancho could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Alvaro Cirelli however easily saved by the left post. Cristiano Chitarroni took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Concetto Donato scored 3-2 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Kroton F.C. booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristiano Chitarroni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Saul Sanduru kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kroton F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
