Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Folke Melin started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. After having played for 4 minutes, Ivar Björklund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pauliström's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivar Björklund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Malcolm Wall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Malcolm Wall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Tomas Illescas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pauliström's Malcolm Wall did a great save. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Folke Melin sent off a good shot on target. After 25 minutes, Tomas Illescas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Pauliström players grew even worse after the yellow card. Malcolm Wall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Andberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute, Henry Näver ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Henry Näver ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Malcolm Wall made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 51st minute. Malcolm Wall was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Tomas Illescas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tomas Illescas really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. 3-1 became the score in the 58th minute when Albert Andberg elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Pauliström's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Malcolm Wall came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute of the game George Beckeman made a throw-in which Albert Andberg played forward. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Näver in the 74th minute of play. Pauliström's Malcolm Wall proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Pauliström from getting a goal against them. After 76 minutes, Patricio Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Pauliström players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Pauliström getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Magnus Björk hit a great ball. George Beckeman hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Albert Andberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 91st minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malcolm Wall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henry Näver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
