The supporters of S L A Y E R booed when USA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jenson Smith didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, S L A Y E R's Asparuh Vikyov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Day narrowly saved just below the crossbar. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. Kalin Kremenski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 27th minute, Cassius Byrne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kalin Kremenski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Monty Rogers went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Kalin Kremenski made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam Campbell in the 78th minute of play forced S L A Y E R's goalkeeper Kalin Kremenski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asparuh Vikyov in the 79th minute of play.
