After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Primo Sans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academia B.F.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Primo Sans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Primo Sans got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 31stth minute of the game Primo Sans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia B.F.. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Primo Sans sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
