Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Zorita made the kick off which started today's match. Manly FC's Nilson Snabl got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Ray Clemence didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by John Aldridge in the 6th minute. Ray Clemence showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Manly FC's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Ray Clemence reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nilson Snabl took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ray Clemence showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Manly FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ray Clemence reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 22nd minute of play forced Manly FC's goalkeeper Ray Clemence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when John Aldridge tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ray Clemence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 30th minute of play. After 33 minutes Manly FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ray Clemence showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ray Clemence saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera had great luck who in the 40thth minute grab hold of the ball when Mo Salah from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After having played for 41 minutes, John Aldridge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manly FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but John Aldridge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when John Aldridge sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when John Aldridge made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Manly FC's goalkeeper Ray Clemence had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. After a rather tough play, Manly FC's Jasmine Kaine got a free kick in the 55th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Nilson Snabl came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexander Arnold kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mo Salah in the 63rd minute of play. Mo Salah's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Manly FC's Matthias Hanslow was substituted for Fleming Wal. Manly FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nilson Snabl in the 68th minute. After 72 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. Ray Clemence made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ray Clemence having to make a save. In the 79th minute John Aldridge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Manly FC could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
