With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vladimiro Matai saved ADCR Loreto United FC from getting behind. Vladimiro Matai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Vladimiro Matai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 5th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 13th minute of the match, Alfredo Curado got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 15 minutes into the match, ADCR Loreto United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Vladimiro Matai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sálvio Ribeiro in the 16th minute of play. After 17 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cesário Abrantes who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Zorita took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vladimiro Matai. ADCR Loreto United FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 22nd minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimiro Matai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sálvio Ribeiro in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of ADCR Loreto United FC's Vladimiro Matai. Vladimiro Matai was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladimiro Matai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 38 minutes into the match, ADCR Loreto United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Vladimiro Matai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladimiro Matai didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 45thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ADCR Loreto United FC's Vladimiro Matai was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when ADCR Loreto United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 47 played minutes ADCR Loreto United FC got a freekick which was hit by Cesário Abrantes.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sálvio Ribeiro made a kick off. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sálvio Ribeiro in the 53rd minute of play. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by ADCR Loreto United FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Juan Sebastián Puig was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Vladimiro Matai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 64th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Alfredo Curado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. With a little luck, ADCR Loreto United FC's Vladimiro Matai got control of the ball when Agustín Saelices tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Alfredo Curado notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Vladimiro Matai in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 89 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vladimiro Matai. Daniel Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Vladimiro Matai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
