Roch Major showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Trzebczyk's Karol Pilsudski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roch Major saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Karol Pilsudski sent off a good shot on target. In the 26th minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karol Pilsudski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Trzebczyk were furious when Benedykt Winszman was red carded, 39 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Trzebczyk fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! Trzebczyk:s Roch Major showed great skill when he stopped Tomas Illescas:s penalty. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Trzebczyk's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Liermann in the 44th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Trzebczyk's Julian Liermann got a free kick in the 56th minute. Julian Liermann struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trzebczyk. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roch Major. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Trzebczyk's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roch Major came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. Trzebczyk made a substitution. Bartlomiej Marud replaced Roch Zawada. In the 72nd minute of the match Wladyslaw Falkowski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Liermann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Illescas in the 79thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Roch Major, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
