But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. After 17 played minutes Jungle Circus got a freekick which was hit by Thorkil Strømbæk. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Doğukan Artan. Doğukan Artan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 27th match minute, Jungle Circus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Csaba Kossuth to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doğukan Artan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 40 played minutes Jungle Circus got a freekick which was hit by Thorkil Strømbæk. 43 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Doğukan Artan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Jungle Circus's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doğukan Artan came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Jungle Circus getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Daniel Agger hit a great ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Felix Montes hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Csaba Kossuth during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jungle Circus's goalkeeper Doğukan Artan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Doğukan Artan made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Jungle Circus's Doğukan Artan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jungle Circus made a substitution. Buster Haarby replaced Malte Eriksen. In the 73rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Jungle Circus's Dirch Pilbak got a free kick in the 76th minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Doğukan Artan firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
