Noel Seide was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Noel Seide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Idalécio Araújo in the 31st minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Jonathan Alphonse cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Homero Carrasqueira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gesner Philippe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Homero Carrasqueira having to interfere. Homero Carrasqueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Alphonse in the 42nd minute of the match. Noel Seide made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Jesus in the 44th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Rui Gago in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Haiti's Jean Claude Ulysse. The Haiti players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sporting Vila Facaia were winning 2-4.

Sporting Vila Facaia's Homero Carrasqueira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gesner Philippe in the 71st minute of play. Philippe Ambroise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Homero Carrasqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Philippe Ambroise came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Haiti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Philippe Ambroise couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Sporting Vila Facaia defense, Jonathan Alphonse kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Homero Carrasqueira. The Sporting Vila Facaia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Homero Carrasqueira should have stopped the shot. 88 minutes in the game Gastão Bacelar did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Artur Jesus. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sporting Vila Facaia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
