Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mariano Lacasa started the match with the kick off. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doru Lițu in the 4th minute of play. Doru Lițu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Orlando Casaus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Casaus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Takis Koutsos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arthur Simão hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Takis Koutsos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Zeca Brodel sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the game, one of Chile:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 25 minutes, The Beatles's Ulisses Gaspar got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Thiago Pliego. In the 28th minute Doru Lițu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Takis Koutsos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Casaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doru Lițu in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Orlando Casaus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Takis Koutsos was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 44th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Carballar to maneuver through the defense. When Doru Lițu came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the The Beatles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doru Lițu couldn't finish the play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Doru Lițu to strike the kick off in the second half. Orlando Casaus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 54 minutes into the game, Elder Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Beatles's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chile the free kick. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeca Brodel in the 57th minute of play. Orlando Casaus's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Takis Koutsos firmly grabbed it by the left post. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeca Brodel, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Zeca Brodel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evert Österlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes in the game, Doru Lițu dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The Beatles made a substitution. Frederico Messias replaced Evert Österlund. The Beatles made a substitution. Hernani Medeiros replaced Zeca Brodel. The Beatles's Marcos Barral was substituted for Doru Lițu. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederico Messias in the 76th minute of the match. A collision led to The Beatles getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Ulisses Gaspar hit a great ball. 83 minutes into the match, Chile's Orlando Casaus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Takis Koutsos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Guillermo Fontirroig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chile's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
