Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) When Arnold Butter fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ronnys Lärjungar's protests and gave Arnold Butter a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Ronnys Lärjungar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnold Butter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronnys Lärjungar's Edvin Bruhn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 4th minute of play. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Edvin Bruhn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edvin Bruhn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute, Francisco Seco made a precise shot to the right of Edvin Bruhn. Ronnys Lärjungar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Francisco Seco scored 0-2 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edvin Bruhn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Cazalla in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edvin Bruhn saved Ronnys Lärjungar from getting behind. Tommy Beck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Seco in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edvin Bruhn saved Ronnys Lärjungar from getting behind. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tommy Beck in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute of the match Ronnys Lärjungar got a corner. Uruguay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Patrik Ahlrot ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tommy Beck might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tommy Beck ran back to his position shaking his head. Edvin Bruhn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 37 minutes, Tomas Broberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ronnys Lärjungar and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th match minute, Ronnys Lärjungar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Broberg to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Uruguay were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Kjell-Arne Skott made the kick off in the second half. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Beck in the 52nd minute of play. Francisco Seco in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edvin Bruhn, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Ronnys Lärjungar booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Covarrubias didn't get a good kick on the ball.
