After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Bruno Beldad got a free kick in the 12th minute. A collision led to Belin FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Amerigo Barrientos hit a great ball. Gonzo Vilanova made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 16th minute of play. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 1-0 when David Otopeanu sped through Uruguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. In the 26th minute Esquipula Lopez de Toro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Otopeanu in the 28th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 played minutes, Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gonzo Vilanova came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Uruguay reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Otopeanu got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Kevin Carballal got a free kick in the 33rd minute. David Otopeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. From close distance David Otopeanu pressed in the 2-0 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 36 minutes into the game. After 38 played minutes Belin FC got a freekick which was hit by David Otopeanu. 44 minutes into the game, Esquipula Lopez de Toro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Belin FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. In the 44th minute, Esquipula Lopez de Toro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo got a free kick in the 47th minute. 48 minutes into the match, David Otopeanu sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Joaquin Gayoso threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for David Otopeanu this time. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Francisco Seco made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Seco in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gonzo Vilanova prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Gonzo Vilanova made a huge save. Gonzo Vilanova made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 61st minute of play. The supporters of Belin FC booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Carballal didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Belin FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Esquipula Lopez de Toro hit a great ball. Gonzo Vilanova didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 74th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. 77 minutes into the match, Belin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Gonzo Vilanova reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A throw-in in the 79th minute of the game was made by Eugenio Flores with Domingo Romero as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After a defensive mix-up in Belin FC's zone, Francisco Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonzo Vilanova came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Belin FC's Gonzo Vilanova played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 81st minute of play. In the 82nd minute of the match Uruguay got a corner. Belin FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Cazalla ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Francisco Seco managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Francisco Seco might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gonzo Vilanova. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisco Seco ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Belin FC's Gonzo Vilanova got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Amerigo Barrientos's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amerigo Barrientos helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Belin FC's Amerigo Barrientos got a free kick in the 89th minute. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Francisco Seco got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Belin FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Uruguay had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
