Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fu Han Qiang in the 7th minute of play. Jon Oblak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 9th minute of play. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 10th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Luca Zorita heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 19 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mexico! Mexico:s Dante Lacasa showed great skill when he stopped Antony Bruno:s penalty. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antony Bruno went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Alberto Tafalla scored 1-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jon Oblak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fu Han Qiang's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Jon Oblak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 32nd minute of play. When Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Andarilhos's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antony Bruno got free with Dante Lacasa in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 42 minutes of play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jon Oblak was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Andarilhos's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Cadaval came free, but Jon Oblak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Jon Oblak in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jon Oblak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Mancebo charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lautaro Mancebo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antony Bruno's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Jon Oblak in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 72nd minute, Patrício Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jon Oblak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Andarilhos's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Jon Oblak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jon Oblak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
