Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Golo Phoenix made the kick off which started today's match. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 7th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 11th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Ghițescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Dacian Ghițescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Aristide Fetea sent off a good shot on target. Aristide Fetea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 26th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 36 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Dacian Ghițescu. Dacian Ghițescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Dacian Ghițescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costel Gurgui didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 48 minutes, Costel Gurgui managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Costel Gurgui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Golo Phoenix came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aristide Fetea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. When Aristide Fetea fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's protests and gave Aristide Fetea a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Aristide Fetea hit a great ball. After having played for 59 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Antonio Arias got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dacian Ghițescu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Dacian Ghițescu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 72nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Virgil Jupân stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Virgil Jupân tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the game, Tiberiu Rotariu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Tiberiu Rotariu kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 85th match minute, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costel Gurgui to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Golo Phoenix got a free kick in the 86th minute. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 87th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dacian Ghițescu but with some difficulty. In the 87th match minute, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucian Şimonca to maneuver through the defense. After 94 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Aristide Fetea. After 97 minutes, Golo Phoenix mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card.
