Bran Allison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Cabezon in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute of the match, Conrado Capixaba tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Federico Kalinowski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Conrado Capixaba took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Federico Kalinowski. Federico Kalinowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horia Anisie in the 30th minute of play forced Cactos's goalkeeper Bran Allison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 played minutes Cactos got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Loreto. 34 minutes into the match, ACF Fiorentina's goal looked a bit too open when Cengizhan Baycan came free, but Federico Kalinowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 2-0 became the score in the 35th minute when Cengizhan Baycan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximino Cabezon in the 41st minute of play forced Cactos's goalkeeper Bran Allison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maximino Cabezon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cactos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dorival de Carvalho in the 74th minute. Cactos's Dorival de Carvalho was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Federico Kalinowski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 94th match minute, Cactos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonatan Valström to maneuver through the defense. When Gabriel Gaufred came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the ACF Fiorentina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Gaufred couldn't finish the play. The Cactos players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
