Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Godfredo Barroso during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 2nd match minute, AFC Cherries was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Barroso to maneuver through the defense. AFC Cherries's Guto Jacinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 14th minute of play forced AFC Cherries's goalkeeper Guto Jacinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to AFC Cherries getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Christian Backman hit a great ball. Guto Jacinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 22nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kaj Låsberg got free with Dante Lacasa in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Godfredo Barroso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Godfredo Barroso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. In the 31st minute of the match, Luciano Cuenca tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dante Lacasa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind AFC Cherries's goalkeeper Guto Jacinto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Guto Jacinto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Godfredo Barroso struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Cherries. AFC Cherries's Guto Jacinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kaj Låsberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaj Låsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guto Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. AFC Cherries made a substitution. Markus Jordán replaced Václav Buš. In the 59th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Guto Jacinto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfredo Barroso in the 61st minute of the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeki Engintalay in the 62nd minute of play. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guto Jacinto having to interfere. In the 70th minute Facundo Cadaval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guto Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of AFC Cherries's goalie and right to Luca Zorita. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. AFC Cherries's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Guto Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Guto Jacinto came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Zeki Engintalay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AFC Cherries's Guto Jacinto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save AFC Cherries from getting a goal against them. A collision led to AFC Cherries getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Judas Priest hit a great ball. Mexico's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
