Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Uruguay's Francisco Seco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Garth Brough's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Garth Brough took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Garth Brough's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Garth Brough blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Gayoso having to make a save. Joaquin Gayoso was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Garth Brough capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Garth Brough really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 22nd minute, Garth Brough reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. The goal made the score 3-0. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Garth Brough sent off a good shot on target. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Garth Brough's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Garth Brough recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. Garth Brough showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Jaime Cazalla made in the 32nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alberto Gisbert. In the 33rd minute, Australian Youth Academy's Garth Brough ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. Garth Brough might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquin Gayoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Garth Brough ran back to his position shaking his head. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Martini, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After 39 minutes of play, Australian Youth Academy's Gabriel Martini made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! 44 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Garth Brough came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Brown Haslett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Garth Brough stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Garth Brough in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. In the 53rd match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Sainz to maneuver through the defense. Australian Youth Academy's Keylor Navas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Australian Youth Academy from getting a goal against them. 61 minutes into the match, Garth Brough had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Garth Brough was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garth Brough in the 66th minute of the match. Garth Brough scored 8-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Garth Brough blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Gayoso having to make a save. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garth Brough in the 74th minute of play. After 75 minutes of play, Australian Youth Academy's Garth Brough made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Garth Brough's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Australian Youth Academy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rufus Roach in the 88th minute. Keylor Navas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Maximiliano Escribano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximiliano Escribano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keylor Navas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garth Brough, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
