Michel Larsson kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 79th minute Bruno Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chants of Hvam FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Ecuador had held the ball for most of the match.
