An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Ove Sandström in the 16th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Erland Spetz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Ahlstedt in the 20th minute of play. Marc Ahlstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. When Isidoro Sarmiento came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Sarmiento couldn't finish the play. After 92 minutes, Tage Göransson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Näshulta FK and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. Panama walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
