Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) László Medgyesi started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by István Juhász in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. István Juhász was slow to take the kick. During this time Gyál United's players had a chance to rest. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lajos Détári fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Gyál United's Róbert Vajda. But to his dismay, Róbert Vajda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Correa during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Gyál United's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Sándor Jászberényi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Róbert Vajda struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gyál United. In the 45th minute Lajos Détári shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Gyál United's Sándor Jászberényi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 51st minute of play. Sándor Jászberényi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. With a little luck, Gyál United's Sándor Jászberényi got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Gyál United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Jose Correa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sándor Jászberényi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sándor Jászberényi. Sándor Jászberényi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. With a little luck, Gyál United's Sándor Jászberényi got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sándor Jászberényi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Sándor Jászberényi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sándor Jászberényi having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Róbert Vajda came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
