Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The audience thought a goal was coming when Cassius Byrne got free with Christof Deroek in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 5 minutes Selebi-Phikwe's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cassius Byrne who took care of the corner kick. Monty Rogers did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Christof Deroek 5 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 10th minute of play forced Selebi-Phikwe's goalkeeper Christof Deroek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11thth minute of the game Johnathan Bowden who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but USA's Marco Day was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The attack was good, but when Monty Rogers in the 14th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Christof Deroek made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. If Abid Bubalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Selebi-Phikwe's Christof Deroek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 22nd minute of play. A throw-in in the 24th minute of the game was made by Raphael Moore with Cassius Byrne as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Mcdonald got free with Christof Deroek in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Johnathan Bowden scored 1-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marco Day, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Christof Deroek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the game, Selebi-Phikwe's Johnathan Bowden nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Day made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cassius Byrne made a kick off. After 50 played minutes Selebi-Phikwe got a freekick which was hit by Victor Lundqvist. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johnathan Bowden in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Christof Deroek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, Selebi-Phikwe's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Christof Deroek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johnathan Bowden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. Christof Deroek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Selebi-Phikwe's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Mcdonald came free, but Christof Deroek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. Christof Deroek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 74th minute of play. In the 77th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christof Deroek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 2-3 became the score in the 78th minute when Johnathan Bowden elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. In the 84th match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Moore to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacob May to maneuver through the defense. When USA's Sam Campbell in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Selebi-Phikwe's goalie prevented a goal. Selebi-Phikwe's Rafik Oliwa managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jacob May in the 91 minute of the game. Christof Deroek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khalid Parry in the 92nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Selebi-Phikwe's zone, Khalid Parry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christof Deroek came out of the goal and Khalid Parry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The USA manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Selebi-Phikwe to win.
