Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Canada's Koby Wright started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carter George in the 3rd minute of play forced Selebi-Phikwe's goalkeeper Christof Deroek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abid Bubalo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 10 minutes Selebi-Phikwe's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Koby Wright who took care of the corner kick. Canada's Koby Wright was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Christof Deroek in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Christof Deroek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luka Harris in the 14th minute of the match. Alfred John made in the 16th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Jan Dixon immediately put the ball in play. In the 18th minute Rohan Watson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christof Deroek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johnathan Bowden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jax Williamson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Christof Deroek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carter George, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute Canada were awarded a corner. Koby Wright went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of Canada booed when Selebi-Phikwe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafik Oliwa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carter George in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christof Deroek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 31 minutes, Carter George made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Selebi-Phikwe's Christof Deroek tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johnathan Bowden couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Selebi-Phikwe getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Rafik Oliwa hit a great ball. The Selebi-Phikwe players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Canada were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Johnathan Bowden was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Koby Wright got free with Christof Deroek in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Christof Deroek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rohan Watson, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Rafik Oliwa kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Selebi-Phikwe's Rafik Oliwa got a free kick in the 57th minute. The Selebi-Phikwe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christof Deroek should have stopped the shot. Canada's Prince Anderson was substituted for Carter George. Selebi-Phikwe's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Theo Burton scored to the left of an out of position Christof Deroek, making the score, 0-3. Selebi-Phikwe's Christof Deroek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Selebi-Phikwe from getting a goal against them. Luka Harris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Christof Deroek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Theo Burton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Christof Deroek made a huge save. Johnathan Bowden took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jax Williamson. Jax Williamson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After 94 minutes of play, Canada's Filip Edwards made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christof Deroek was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle sounded Canada left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Selebi-Phikwe.
